About

SentryQ builds the chat teams behind creators.

For 5 years we have hired, trained and supervised the people who handle direct messages for creators on 18+ subscription platforms. Today that is 120 chat specialists working with 60+ creators and agencies.

A creator’s inbox is where most of their income is decided, and most of it is handled badly: by someone rushing, someone guessing, or a script. We exist because doing it properly is a job, and a job needs training, supervision and someone accountable when it goes wrong.

That shapes how we hire. We are not looking for people with the right experience on paper; we are looking for people who can hold a conversation and read what is actually being asked. Everything else is taught in three weeks and reinforced every shift after that: the platforms, the compliance limits, the difference between a recommendation that lands and one that annoys.

How we work

Four things we do not compromise on.

  • Hire for instinct, train for everything else

Nobody arrives knowing how to do this. What we cannot teach is whether you can read a person through a screen, so that is the only thing we screen for. It is also why the application is three written answers rather than a CV.

  • Say the uncomfortable part first

The work is explicit, the shifts are fixed, and the job is full-time. We put all of that on the careers page rather than in week two, because everyone loses when somebody finds out late.

  • Measure what can be measured

Reply times, conversion, how an answer was written. These are facts, and we treat them as facts. Where a judgement is needed, a person makes it and puts their name to it.

  • Promote from the chat floor

Every supervisor, trainer and QA manager here started on an inbox. It is the only way to be taught by someone who has actually done the shift you are on.
